Thought provoking posters!!

Came across these wonderful thought provoking posters and wanted to share it with you friends!!

How true is this verse!! Man doesn't know the way he goes. Only if he has the law of the God in his heart he will not waver in his ways. He will only then know the right path.

Yes I am recycled and I am proud of it!!

Jesus - The Son!!

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art.

They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art..When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.

About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands..He said, 'Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly... He often talked about you, and your love for art.' The young man held out this package. 'I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.'

The father Opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture.. 'Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift.'

The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.

On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. 'We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?'

There was silence...

Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, 'We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one.'

But the auctioneer persisted. 'Will somebody bid for this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?'

Another voice angrily. 'We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Gogh's, the Rembrandts. Get on with the Real bids!'

But still the auctioneer continued. 'The son! The son! Who'll take the son?'

Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. 'I'll give $10 for the painting...' Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.

'We have $10, any more takers?

'Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters.'

The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son.

They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.

The auctioneer pounded the gavel.. 'Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!'

A man sitting on the second row shouted, 'Now let's get on with the collection!'

The auctioneer laid down his gavel. 'I'm sorry, the auction is over.'

'What about the paintings?'

'I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will... I was not allowed to reveal that until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings. The man who took the son’s portrait, gets everything!'

Jesus, the only begotten son, was sent to die for us. The one who loves us so much laid down his own life to redeem us. When we accept the Son all else will be given unto us. Seek him and be blessed in this world and in eternity.

Amen! Hallelujah!

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

God of Joseph!!

Joseph is such a wonderful character in the bible. He was the most loved child of Jacob since he was the son of Rachel, the one Jacob loved the most. Joseph was the one envied by his brothers the most. Joseph was the one hated by his brothers the most. They were waiting to find a chance to kill him so that they could get their father's attention.

Matters worsened when Joseph shared his dreams about his brothers' sheaves bowing to his. This was only compounded by his second dream wherein the sun and moon (dad and mom) joined his eleven brothers in bowing before him. Even his dad was upset with the implications of this one.

The decision to sell Joseph to the Midianite merchantmen rather than have him die in the cistern spared his life but permanently sealed his fate. Joseph was bought by Potiphar, an Egyptian, the captain of Pharaoh's guard for an undisclosed amount of money. And the Lord was with Joseph (Gen. 39:2). In no time at all, Joseph had proved his mettle and Potiphar made him an overseer in his house. The Lord continued to bless Potiphar's household.

Joseph was thrown into prison with the Lord's prisoners. Perhaps Potiphar didn't totally believe the story his wife told him, but he had to do something to save face. Potiphar's job was to oversee these prisoners. And the Lord was with Joseph.

The Lord was with Joseph always, wherever and whenever. Pharaoh hired Joseph, giving him his signet ring (a symbol of authority), a new name (Zaphenath-paneah, meaning either God speaks and he lives, or that God has said: he will live), and an Egyptian wife, Asenath, daughter of Potiphera, Priest of On.

His dreams come true. Jacob calls Joseph his father. He provides for his family. He is exalted by God!! What a wonderful thing!  There is much to learn from the life of Joseph. We need to be obedient to God's words. Be patient and calm and truly trust in the Lord because his plans will come to pass no matter what.

God had a plan for Joseph and in spite of all the troubles and detour. Actually it was not a detour it was the plan of God as Joseph says in the bible.

Lets wait upon the Lord for the plans in our life to come to pass.

Amen! Hallelujah!!

Amen!! Thank God!!

Amen!! Thank God!!....Nice one!!

Read this humor.. found it very hilarious.. Sharing it with you!!

A man has been lost and walking in the desert for about five days. One hot day--actually, they’re all hot--he comes to the home of a preacher. Tired and weak, he crawls up to the house and collapses on the doorstep. The preacher takes him in and nurses him back to health. Feeling better, the man asks the preacher for directions to the nearest town. The preacher tells him the directions, and offers to lend him his horse to make it. The preacher says, "However, there is a special thing about this horse. You have to say ’Thank God’ to make it go and ’Amen’ to make it stop."

Anxious to get to town, the man says, "Sure, okay" and gets on the horse. He says, "Thank God" and  the horse starts walking. A bit later he says louder, "Thank God, thank God," and the horse starts trotting. Feeling really brave, the man say, "Thank God! Thank God! THANK GOD!" and the horse is soon up to a full run!

About then he realizes he’s heading for a huge cliff and yells "Whoa!" But the horse doesn’t even slow! It’s coming up REAL QUICK and he’s doing everything he can to make the horse stop. "Whoa, stop, hold on!" Finally he remembers "AMEN!!!"

The horse stops a mere two inches from the cliff’s edge, almost throwing him over its head. The man, panting and heart racing, wipes the sweat from his face and leans back in the saddle. "Oh!" he says, gasping for air, "Thank God."

Beautiful pictures!!

The Cross; Pride not shame!!

The Cross is a beauty for all those who believe in Christ. Its a symbol to be proud of! It once was considered a symbol of shame but not anymore. It portrays life not death. It portrays blessing not curse. It portrays love not hate. It portrays healing not sickness. It portrays richness not poverty. Jesus made that difference.

Now we look unto the cross with hope and not despair. The hope of eternity lies in it, not in our efforts but in the sacrifice Jesus did for us on that Cross. Let's celebrate the Cross. Let's carry our burdens unto Jesus and be delivered right now. He is waiting for us to draw nearer unto Him.

Beauty surely does lie in the eyes of the beholder!! I find it very very beautiful, don't you?

Amen!! Hallelujah!!

Walking right!!

How can a young person stay on the path of purity?
By living according to your word.
I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.

A man walks according to the thoughts of his heart. He does whatever he feels is right. There is no stopping. Without any policing how can a man walk right? Walking in the right path is not easy and no man does so willingly. Each person has a part in him that doesn't want to obey and do what is right.

It's when you live according to the word you can stay in the path of purity. Jesus lived such a life. He was word himself. He waited upon God the father each day and carried out his will on this earth. He walked on this earth blameless and flawless. No person could point a hand at him. We also need to be like him. How can it be possible? By living according to his word alone!

Living according to his word involves several things:

- Seeking God with all your heart

It means to desire Him, want Him, need Him above any and every other desire, want, or need. It is with all of what you are that you are to seek God.  With your entire being

 - Hiding God's word in your hear

You memorize. So that the Holy Spirit can bring it to your remembrance when you need it. So you can then be comforted, corrected, and guided.

- Meditating on God's precepts

A precept is a rule of moral conduct. God wants you to act morally, in holiness, with love, and truth and not neglect His word.

When we seek him and yearn to live in his ways we will never stray away from his commands. Let us commit to walk in his ways and not stray from his commands.

Amen! Hallelujah!!

Nice article!!

I read this beautiful article... thought of sharing it for the glory of our Lord Jesus!! Read it and be blessed!!

The Appointment

George sat in his car waiting for 3 o'clock to finally arrive. The air conditioner was blowing as he listened to the radio. He had a meeting at church with the minister of Education. He wondered why Charles had asked him to meet. George had only been a member of Liberty Baptist Church for a few months and was getting tired of always being asked to participate in some new ministry. He let it slip one day that he was interested in the youth group and before he knew it, brother Jimmy had requested that he help out with youth functions.

He had to put a stop to this constant bombardment of church participation. He understood that it was every member's job to work towards the goals that God had setup. How could he consider himself a Christian if he didn't participate in some of the church functions? The time was almost there for his meeting with Charles and although he was fully prepared to shoot Charles' request down, he felt a tug at his heart that not trying to help out in church only drove him further away from God. He couldn't go back to the life he once lived and not participating in church was a sure way back to that miserable existence.

George popped in one of his more upbeat CDs and slid his seat back to take a quick nap. While he was resting, he imagined all of the time that would be taken away from his fishing and TV. He enjoyed church as much as the next guy, but thought that he had done about as much as one could be expected to do in his situation. He really wanted more recreation time and whatever Charles was about to ask him was going to cut that time down to nothing. What kind of excuse could George give Charles that would pass as an acceptable reason why he could not participate in whatever he had to offer?

Then when George thought he had convinced himself that not rocking the boat and keeping his schedule clear to do what he wanted was his final decision, God spoke to him and made him realize that he had been selfish. God had revealed that his thoughts about church and his attitude towards "doing more" was hurting his testimony and slowing his walk with Him.

George repented of his sins that afternoon and finally understood the meaning of Christian service as well as what the body of Christ meant with regards to his participation in church activities. Suddenly, he could hear another car approaching in the distance. George watched as Charles' car drove up closer in the driveway. Charles got out of his car and walked over to George. With a grin, George rolled down his window and greeted Charles. Charles looked at George and replied "Nice to see you today, Pastor George, are you ready for our weekly staff meeting". George replied in a more upbeat manner, "Yes, I will be there in a second".

Nice ones!!

Just sharing a few posters I found while I was browsing through the net. Simple and beautiful lines that mean so much to us!!

Life is definitely hard but what a solace! Jesus is our ever present help at all times!! All we need to do is ask, call on his name and be delivered!!

These 3 words are the essence of Christian life!!

It is man who changes every second. There is a saying that says that the heart of a man is like a monkey. A monkey cannot sit still on a tree branch, it keeps jumping around so is the man's heart. JESUS never changes!! That's why we can put our trust on him always!!

Now this is the promise that keeps us going! Whoever shall call on the Lord! It doesn't matter if you are rich, poor, white, black, man or woman, if you are a human you can call on the Lord!! Amen!!

Amen! Be blessed!!

ENCOUNTER WITH THE CREATOR

“Hi Gladys!” shouted Joanna. “How are you?”

There was excitement, happiness and contentment in her voice. She was a happy and cheerful person today. She was not like this before. I remember the days when we used to share our sorrow and look at each other helplessly. Why even last time I saw her, about two days back, she had so many mental tensions. But today... Today it was a different person coming towards me.

“Hey Gladys, you know I found some one”

So that was it. Joanna was going to get married. That explains her happiness I thought as she continued.

“I’m so happy today. He took away all my pains and sufferings”

Pains and sufferings! Did she go to a doctor? What was her sickness?

“He has filled me with joy and happiness. No more sorrow, No more mourning”.

What is all this nonsense she is talking? I was unable to understand as she went on and on until I could take it no more “STOP IT” I yelled!

From what she was saying I could figure out that a ‘person’ was responsible for the change in her life. I controlled my self and asked her calmly. “Who is he? Or what is he? And what does he look like?”

Joanna replied “He is the most handsome person, the fairest of ten thousand, fairer than the lily of the valley”.

“Has he won the Mr. Universe Pageant?”  I asked.

“Oh no, He is the creator of the Universe! He created you and me! He is the omnipotent, omnipresent God. He is Jesus Christ.” Joanna answered calmly.

“Oh! Jesus Christ. I know him” I said “I’ve seen him in the paintings in the books. I do not find him appealing at all. He has blood and bruises all over his body. More over He is dead and gone. How can you claim that he gave to the joy and happiness” I asked utterly confused.

“No my friend you do not know the person of Jesus Christ. He is the loveliest person. He loves you and me and that in why he died for our sins. He came into the world to redeem us. For he sins we committed He was bruised and to cleanse our sins, his blood was shed. He did die but He rose from the dead and is alive now. You do not find him appealing because you are not cleansed by his blood and saved from your sins.”

“Saved from my sins! I’m not a sinner! I’ve not done any crime. I do not need to be saved.”

“Oh no! Gladys you certainly have to be saved by the blood of Jesus to live eternally in his kingdom. He is the way, the truth and the life. If you want to be in heaven, you have to seek him and find him. Please for friendship sake come with to the church. I’ll show you who Jesus is “He will make you also happy”.

“OK” said I reluctantly. It was the old Pentecostal church round the corner. The Hallelujah’ sound was audible even before we entered the street. As we entered the church, a strange feeling engulfed me. Something or some one surrounded me. It was all over me. I was afraid and happy. Mixed emotions - a new kind of experience! A chilly and electrifying feeling! No words to explain that kind of experience. I sat on the chair near the entrance itself so that I could slip out without being noticed.

As the people in the church stood up to worship, I stood up too. That person or thing was still all over me. I could feel it. I looked here and there. I looked at the faces of the people who were worshiping; bright and smiling. I too closed my eyes.

As I closed, there he was so bright and beautiful, fairer than the lily of valley; his hands and legs with nail marks stretching out towards me. I began to cry. I looked at myself. Oh God! I’m so dirty. The miry clay was all over me. I was stinking and completely soiled with dirt. Yet He called me. I went near him and He began cleaning me with his blood. His red blood made me clean and white as snow. Part by part the cleansing was done. First my head was cleansed. My God how much dirt in my head, all filthy thoughts, pride, haughtiness, jealousy, unforgiveness and much more. I was unable to bear the sight of all those filth, where did all these store up in my head?

Then my eyes were being cleansed, another load of filth. All that I should not have seen Oh God stinking filth! The words of my mouth stank. How many people have been hurt by the words of my mouth! How many times I’ve spoken against God! Jesus was patiently cleaning my mouth. The words that came out now smelled nice and fragrant. It was a sweet smelling savour to Jesus. He liked it. I repented and cried more. He soothed me and comforted me. I cried all the more.

He cleansed my hands and legs for all the cleansed my hands and in my past. I began to feet light. All the heaviness from my body had gone. All guilt and sin had been cleansed from me. My heart was being poured out and these was cleansing in my heart too.

My heart was full with the unwanted and unnecessary things. Jesus didn’t like the uncleanness but the helped me to throw it all out. As I began pouring myself out. He cleaned my heart and prepared it for his to stay. I was much happier. Jesus is going to stay in my heart. How fortunate I’m! I’m clean now. I’m happy now. As the worship ended I emerged as a new person.

I have the joy and happiness that Joanna has. I now know the man she was talking about. I know him as I should know him: in my heart not as in the paintings of some book.

Do you know Jesus? Would you like to receive the happiness and Joy I have?

Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and surrender yourself unto him completely. He will fill you with joy and peace and will lead you to the eternal home.

“ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 3:16

Be still and know!!

Jacob, an interesting character in the bible. A man who had seen both the shores meaning had been a deceiver and was later deceived. A person who knew what it is to be like both. God's blessing was that the older will serve the younger about Esau and Jacob when they were in Rebekah's womb. Yet the anxiety and the fear that God's word may not come to pass which is actually unbelief, made him to deceive. Rebekah too was so anxious to fulfill God's word in her own strength that she decided to put Jacob in place of Esau and take the curse if any.

If God had said that the older will serve the younger then it would be so no matter what. But the situation seemed otherwise. There was in no way Jacob could be blessed above Esau since Jacob was younger and as per rules of the world and as per the rights of the first born, Esau was to be blessed double portion. Also he was liked by Isaac more than Jacob so it was obvious that Esau would inherit the blessings of the first born without any doubt. There was no chance that Jacob would be above Esau. But what would happen to God's promise? God's words cannot lie. How can we let that happen? We need to make God's word come to pass in our strength even if we have to take in the curse. That was the thought of Rebekah.

Do you think God's word wouldn't have come to pass without intervention of Rebekah or Jacob's betrayal of Esau? God would definitely have changed the situation and turned the events so that Jacob would have received the blessing of the first born and his word that the older will serve the younger would have happened without all these running around and getting deceived for Jacob. In God's time and in God's plan all things would have happened smoothly and effortlessly. All the 20 yrs Jacob had to work for Laban wouldn't have happened.

Friends, is there anything God has promised to you and you feel it cannot happen since the situation seems so? Do not fear, do not panic, do not try anything in your strength to make it to happen. There is a God almighty who knows what should happen when and how. He will make it all happen so beautifully in his own time not in your time according to his perfect will and not yours. When He makes it happen everything will be perfect in our lives.

So wait upon the Lord for his will to come to pass and be still and know that he is God!!

Amen! Hallelujah!!

Brother's keeper or my keeper's brother!!

A married couple were arguing who is making the coffee, the wife said that in the Bible it says that men should make the coffee and the husband asked her where it said that. The wife opened the Bible and said: "Right here in HEBREWS!"

Q: Why do they say 'Amen' at the end of a prayer instead of 'Awomen'?

A: The same reason they sing Hymns instead of Hers!

The story of Adam and Eve was being carefully explained in the children's Sunday School class. Following the story, the children were asked to draw some picture that would illustrate the story. Little Bobby drew a picture of a car with three people in it. In the front seat was a man and in the back seat, a man and a woman. The teacher was at a loss to understand how this illustrated the lesson of Adam and Eve. Little Bobby was prompt with his explanation. "Why, this is God driving Adam and Eve out of the garden!"

One day the zoo-keeper noticed that the monkey was reading two books - the Bible and Darwin's The Origin of Species. In surprise he asked the ape, "Why are you reading both those books"? "Well," said the monkey, "I just wanted to know if I was my brother's keeper or my keeper's brother."

 Have fun!!

God bless!!
