"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither
are your ways My ways, declares the Lord"
Isaiah 55:8
There are some who
always think their way is right. They have an opinion on every subject
and are happy to give it to you. Sometimes we think, "Why does God allow
the ungodly to prosper?" "When they are such beautiful saints why must
they suffer?" We feel we can be better God than Him, deciding what has
to be done for each person! What a stupidity!!
Jesus,
the only begotten son of God when He prayed said "Nevertheless, not
what I will, but thy will be done." We need to acknowledge His ways in
our lives. What may seem good and perfect in our eyes will not be the
right thing for us because we do not see the tomorrow and moreover how
things are going to turnout is not known to us. We have a limited
knowledge of the facts. We have no certain knowledge of our immediate
future.
God does not always do what you think He should. Sometimes we think, "if the Lord would only heal him he would believe." or like the rich man in hell said to Abraham, "Send Lazarus back to warn my...". He thought if someone went to his household from heaven and told them they would repent and believe. But actually that's where Jesus came from but yet none believed!! God's plan and thought was not to send someone from each household to go back from hell and tell people to repent but to send Jesus! And that was a perfect plan because not only we get the news of the Kingdom of heaven but also a Savior, who died and rose up to save the mankind.
Our God, the creator knows everything. His understanding is incomparable. We need to trust His thoughts and ways. I believe it takes greater faith because some follow Christ to this point, then turn away. "God failed me" they say. This is really a true test of faith.
"NEITHER ARE YOUR WAYS MY WAYS SAITH THE LORD."
"FOR AS THE HEAVENS ARE HIGHER THAN THE EARTH."
God's thoughts and ways infinitely higher than yours. Commit your ways completely to the Lord. Trust in God even though you can't see or understand. God's ways are past our finding out. So submit yourselves to the plans of our God and receive the blessing He holds for us!
Amen! Hallelujah!!
